The wine was satisfactory but without the pungency of the previous vintages. The sample was re-submitted some weeks later (the wine having settled down after bottling) and we are happy to report a considerable bounce back of flavours. Brilliant straw colour with pale straw hue. Lifted nose displaying a grassy herbaceous top note followed by notes of green apple and spice. Excellent palate weight, with notes of green and baked apple emerging over a grassy background. Crisp finish. Very long aftertaste of baked apple. Cellar 1-2 years (2005-2006).
