The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, supple in the mouth and certainly more approachable than the Batailleys of old. It feels harmonious and poised, supple and lithe on the finish with a satisfying saline aftertaste. There is something very assured about this Batailley, and it should drink well for many years.
