We completely fell in love with them, and one of our favourites is Clos del Rey.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eClos del Rey is tucked away in the heart of Maury in the Roussillon. While the region is known for its naturally sweet wines, Clos del Rey has focused on dry wines with extraordinary results. Established in 2001, the estate is run by Jacques Montagné and his son Julien. Their vineyard sites lie at 300 metres altitude, with vines averaging 40 years old and one rare hectare of Carignan over a century old. From the moment we met Julien, it was clear he is a winemaker through and through.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe reds wines are all based on Grenache, Nothing unnatural interferes with the vines, giving the wines a rare vibrancy and liveliness.
