But there is enough fresh acidity, gentle supporting tannin and flavour to make a great food match too. Try this with a grilled steak and chimichurri, or a black pepper tofu dish for a vegan option. Given considerable investment since, the wines are tip-top and in plentiful supply, both of which keep a wine buyer happy! Cotes du Rhone is a large area, across the south and north of the Rhone valley.
