With the well-being of the vineyards at heart, his team practice minimum intervention to enable the vines to develop naturally and healthily. His emblematic wine is the 1.7ha monopole Meursault ‘Vieux Clos du Château de Cîteaux’, produced from a single parcel of vines planted by his father. Philippe cultivates a huge diversity of vineyard plots, from Aloxe-Corton in the north to Chassagne-Montrachet in the south, providing a multitude of small parcels with which to compose the ‘mosaic’ of his production.
