He’s been making wine since 1980, transforming his family’s vineyards from bulk wine production into one of Portugal’s most exciting estates. A pioneer in the region, he’s known for low-intervention methods and a deep respect for local grape varieties – especially Maria Gomes (aka Fernão Pires), the star of this bottle.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe grapes are picked early to preserve acidity and fermented cool in stainless steel to keep those fresh floral notes intact.
