It is made from selected old vine grapes grown at the higher altitudes of the Alto Alentejo and is fermented in small tanks with prolonged maceration \u0026amp; the top wines from these grapes are selected for 22 months barrel aging resulting in a rich and complex wine typical of the this special region of Portugal. There are aromas of ripe soft red fruit, violets with tarry\/spicy notes. On the palate there are layers of ripe fruit, good acidity and structure.
