Its an excellent example of this grape variety made with an extended skin contact period of 30 days. Bright amber in the glass, expressive aromas of candied citrus peel, tropical fruit and a touch of cinnamon and turmeric. The palate is direct and generous, powerful and persistent exuding with flavour and well balanced by slight acidic freshness. The Macerato is a brilliant pairing with Italian salami but also with a variety of Asian cuisine such as a mild curry. It is also delicious with north African cuisine influenced by souk spices. We recommend serving lightly chilled but not cold.
