Carignan 1903 from the Roc des Anges estate is the iconic cuvée that has shaped the estate’s reputation. Produced from century-old vines planted in 1903 on schist soils, it offers deep, dense yet very fresh wines. The powerful and intense nose combines cherry, blackberry, smoky notes, leather and truffle, gaining in elegance after aeration. The palate, still firm in its youth, reveals splendid substance, silky tannins and a rustic character typical of Carignan. This is a great wine for ageing (10–15 years), to be decanted young and ideal with dishes full of character (meat in sauce, game, local dishes).
