Sans Wine maker Ian McKenzie set out to make the definitive Riesling in 1984 and sourced the best fruit he could find at the time, which was from Eden Valley.The grapes were picked at an alcohol level of 10.5% which is very low, and the wine must have been extremely acidic in its youth. Today, its 16 years old and still has lots of youthful appearance and vigour.
