Sans Medium weight, brick red colour. The nose displays good depth with gamy, toasted oak aromas over a cherry, bacon background.The palate structure is a touch firm, but their is plenty of fruit to support the tannins(give the wine a couple of years).Cherry, plum and smoky oak flavours dominate, good balance and gamy toasted oak aftertaste.Not as heavy as the exceptional 1994 vintage, but a classy wine none the less.Cellar 5 years.
