Sans This is a much more finely structured wine than the ’94 vintage – elegant is a term, but not to be confused with thin. Bright crimson red colour, with excellent plum spice nose and strong blackcurrant cedar aromas. The palate is finely structured – with plum, blackcurrant and spice flavour carefully positioned against the oak – again elegance is the word. Firmish tannin structure, in balance with plum spice aftertaste. A classy wine – cellar for another 3 – 5 years. If you insist on drinking early, give it a couple of hours breathing.
