Sans Brilliant crimson, mauve colour and a great follow up on the 1995 vintage. The nose is quite superb, displaying uplifted aromas of mulberries and blackcurrants with a hint of earthiness. The palate is abundant with ripe fruit flavours and has excellent depth. Ripe plum spice and mulberry flavours dominate, and are reinforced by a long, fine dry tannin structure and lingering mulberry spice blackcurrant aftertaste. A top example. Cellar 4 �5 years.
