Sans A great example of Bin 389. A blend of 50% Cabernet and 50% Shiraz which has been matured for 14 months in American oak, 25% of which was new wood. Opaque vibrant, crimson purple colour – a visual delight. Magnificent lifted nose of violets, blackcurrants, vanilla and toasted oak with a blackberry spice end note. The palate reflects the nose with generous flavours of ripe plum, blackcurrants and liquorice – full bodied and supported by very fine, assertive, yet well balanced tannins, which linger into the aftertaste. Long liquorice, blackcurrant, chocolate and toasted oak aftertaste. A Classic.
