Youthful, filled with the smell of freshly crushed blackberries, inky spice with vanilla and liquorice in the background. A sniffers delight!The palate flavours are again youthful, marathon athletic – a fifteen year run is easily achievable. Inky shiraz is perfectly matched to blackberry and liquorice – concentrated, with great depth and youthful vigor. Very long flavour – perfect balance although far from fully integrated.Each component part has a role to play, and a distance to reach. Fine, firm, dry tannins with very long inky liquorice, spice and blackberry aftertaste. On a relative basis remarkable value. Stock up and forget about it!
