Sans Vintaged from a Great Year, this wine has some of the Classic Hunter features of old.Deep crimson colour with mauve overtones.The nose presents the typical warm climate set of aromas of plum and spice followed by some vanillin oak, however, enhanced by a perfumed violet top note.The palate flavours do not have the carry through the nose suggests and lacks depth, however, it is rescued to some extent by an overriding earthy leather quality.Fine grained, soft tannins with a spicy stewed fruits aftertaste.Cellar 3-4 years.
