Sans The Fonty’s Pool wines are made as a joint venture project between Cape Mentelle and Fonty’s Pool. Deep straw colour with pale gold hues. Subtle nose with aroma of citrus and butterscotch emerging with just a hint of yeast lees. The palate is also quite delicate with hints of yeast lees over citrus and grapefruit. The nose lacks depth and concentration and is relatively straightforward but has sufficient acidity to carry the wine over the next few years when some complexity may emerge. Cellar 2-3 years.
