Sans This wine has many parallels with the 1999 Berry’s Bridge Shiraz from the same district.Totally opaque, crimson colour with mauve edge.Intense nose, with aroma of ripe plums, blackberry, blackpepper and vanilla.Like the Berry’s Bridge, the wine has great palate weight but misses out on complexity.It’s just a product of the year.On the palate, flavours of plum, blackpepper and mint with liquorice in the background.Fine grained, very dry tannins which need several years to soften. Long liquorice, plum, blackberry aftertaste.Cellar 4-5 years.
