Sans Hunter River Semillons can be lean and hard, but the 2001 Margan displays plenty of ripe fruit character.Low yielding, dry grown grapes were used to produce this bright straw coloured wine, with delicate green hue.The nose displays an interesting range of notes that will gain great complexity over the next few years.Aroma of hay and tropical fruit over a delicate herbaceous background, followed by a hint of green tea.The palate has plenty of weight and depth, with flavours of citrus and tropical fruit.Excellent length.Clean crisp finish, followed by a long citrus aftertaste.
