Sans GORDON LECKIE planted 3000 Shiraz vines on the She Oak property in 1975. Leckie is one of the early pioneers of the Heathcote district, together with ALBINO ZUBER, LEONARD FRENCH, DR. JIM MUNRO and LEIGH HUNT. The vineyard is unirrigated with the vines being cane pruned and mulched in order to conserve water. The vines root systems are very well established and consistently produce high quality fruit which is then transported to Hanging Rock where the wine is made.
