Sans An outstanding wine, offering great value. The wine has been matured in for 12 months in American oak. Opaque black, purple colour. The nose is impressive with lifted aromas of inky plum, followed by a touch of vanilla, new leather and liquorice. The palate displays the generous ripe fruit flavours which have become the trademark of the 2001 vintage. Inky plum, very strong spice, blackpepper and vanilla, fill the mouth, with a hint of iodine appearing on the backpalate. Fine grained tannins, followed by a very long aftertaste of inky blackberry, iodine and leather.Cellar 4-5 years (2006-2007)Alc/Vol: 14.5%
