Sans A relatively light Heathcote Shiraz without the voluptuous fruit character that we’ve been accustomed to.Opaque black crimson colour with deep crimson hue.The nose has an impressive lift – perfumed with notes of violets, spice and blackcurrant, followed by a touch of confectionery.The palate is generous – sort of ‘puppy fat’ rather than ‘curvaceous.’Flavours of blackberry and spice emerge over a liquorice background.Very good length.Fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of stewed plum, blackberry and liquorice.Cellar 3-4 years (2008-2009)Alc/Vol: 14%
