Sans Yalumba was one of the first wine companies to plant Viognier in Australia. 1.2 hectares were planted in 1979 which resulted after Yalumba’s winemaker, PETER WALL, visited Condrieu in the Rhone Valley. Today, Yalumba has the largest Viognier plantings in the Southern Hemisphere, which has enabled it to develop the variety across a number of price points.
