Sans Chateau du Cros is situated on the opposite bank of the Garonne River to Sauternes. Proprietor Michel Boyer maintains that in great years, du Cros can produce as good a wine as any from the other side of the river. Nick Chlebnikowski recalled a visit when Boyer opened a bottle of 1927 Ch. du Cros and compared it next to a 1927 Ch.d’Yquem. He made his point!
