Sans Tasted 11/05/2007: These old vines were planted in 1908 on the sandy hillside of Blewitt Springs. Gibson describes this old vine Grenache as being “like the lines on a centenarian’s brow.”Very deep, almost opaque black crimson colour with black crimson hue. Superb nose of confectionary, chocolate, raspberry and spice with hints of vanilla. Mouthfilling, Shiraz like palate structure. Very strong flavours of spice and white pepper followed by plum and raspberry. Very fine tannins, with outstanding length and persistence. Very long aftertaste. Alc/Vol: 14.5%
