Sans Near opaque deep dark red colour with brick red mauve hue. Lifted aromas of black raspberry and dark plum are followed by some spice, dried herbs and a new leather earth like overtone showing good intensity. Full bodied and very concentrated the palate displays generous flavours of black cherries, spice and liquorice with a meaty leather like back palate. There’s a very slight hint of heat on the finish. Fine grained, dryish but balanced tannins. Long aftertaste of black cherry, spice and dried meat. A big, concentrated and very ripe Chateauneuf du Pape.Drink over the next 4-5 years (2014-2015).Alc 15.8%
