Sans This wine has been named after thesmall district of Moppa, just north of Greenock in the Barossa Valleywhere the original farm and vineyard were established in 1853. The Kalleskefamily have been growing grapes in the Barossa Valley for six generations, however, it was the seventh generation family members thatmade the first wines. Brothers Troy and Tony produce outstanding wines from 120 acres of vineyard, whose average vine age is 50 years, with the oldest vines dating back to 1875. The Shiraz was harvestedin numerous batches from the 5th to the 15th of March and co-fermented with a small quantity of Viognier.Trace amounts of Petit Verdot were also included. The wine spent 7-12 days on skins after which time itwas pressed and aged for 18 months in 25% new and the remainder older American, French and Hungarianhogsheads.
