Sans This wine is made entirely from fruit grown on the Mitchell’s own Watervale vineyard planted in 1960. It’s dry grown and normally yields around 2 tonnes per acre resulting in wines of great concentration and depth. The 2007 vintage was one of the warmest and driest years the Mitchell’s have experienced resulting in a very early, low yielding vintage. The growing season was consistently warm rather than hot with few extremely hot days so flavours developed well and acid levels were maintained.
