Sans The ‘Black Poplar Block’ is a four hectare planting which takes its name from the two majestic 100 year old Black Poplar trees that dominate the vineyard. The first two hectares are planted in Clone 10/5 and 5 – the balance is planted in a number of Dijon clones – 113, 777, 114, 115 and 667. The wine has been matured in French oak barriques (one third new) for one year.
