Sans Matured in a combination of 20% new French oak and 1 to 3 year old oak for 10 months. Semi translucent dark crimson red colour with mauve brick red hue. Perfumed aromas of violets and dark cherries are followed by some meaty anise like characters and spice. Light to medium weight the palate delivers flavours of dark cherry and dark strawberry followed by some meaty game like characters and spicy cedar. Good power wave. Very fine grained almost velvet like tannins. Medium to long dark cherry, meaty cedar and spice aftertaste.Drink over the next 2-3 years (2012-2015)Alc 13.5%
