Sans The 2008 Laughing Magpie is a blend of 94% Shiraz and 6% Viogner that was matured for 10 months in French and American oak hogsheads. Outstanding colour �opaque black crimson with very deep black dark crimson purple hue. The nose is a little reserved at first but gains intensity with air time exhibiting subtle aromas of blackberry, liquorice and dark plum followed by a hint of spice. Rich and opulent the palate holds nothing back delivering mouthfilling flavours of liquorice, blackberry, confectionery and a strong blackpepper overlay. Fine, dryish but balanced tannins with long aftertaste of liquorice, blackberry and blackpepper. Cellar 2-3 years (2013-2014)Alc 14.5%
