Sans Semi translucent, dark, crimson red mauve colour with deep mauve hue. The nose is not quite as expressive as the 2008 Domaine de la Vougeraie Charmes-Chambertin Les Mazoyeres Grand Cru at present but is still very impressive nonetheless. Perfumed aromas of violets, dark cherries and spice along with some subtle, meaty overtones and a hint of incense as an end note. Light to medium weight, the palate delivers slightly more richness and depth than the Les Mazoyeres, with flavours of sweet dark cherries, spice, cedar and dried meat. Excellent power wave. Silky smooth tannins with a soft plush mouthfeel and long aftertaste of dark cherries, herbs, spice and dried meats.Cellar 5-6 years (2016-2017)Alc 13.0%
