Sans Blended from equal volumes ofBalnaves Dead Morris and Walker vineyards, this wine spent 16 months in tight grain French oak, 76% new, from Seguin Moreau and St Martin cooperages. Opaque black dark crimson red colour with deep dark crimson red hue. Lifted ripe blackcurrant notes are followed by some chocolate bullet like characters, some cedary tobacco and spice. Full bodied the palate possesses rich ripe blackcurrant flavours followed by some dark chocolate, dark mulberry, cedar and spice. Fine grained but sturdy tannins provide an excellent framework. Long ripe blackcurrant, dark mulberry, cedar and spice aftertaste.Cellar 5-6 years.Alc 14.5%
