The original Coriole vineyard dates back to 1919, which the Lloyd family secured when they purchased the property in 1967.Further planting took place in the 1960’s and 1990’s with the main variety planted being Shiraz.The McLaren Vale terroir is influenced by the maritime climate, with windy, cool winters followed by warm to hot, dry summers which facilitated the production of wines of a consistently high standard.Many McLaren Vale winemakers consider the district the best place in the world to grow grapes.
