Sans The tiny village ofWatervale (population 246), is a sub-district of theClare Valley, renowned for its Rieslings. Despite the2009 heatwave that challenged the vintage, the winemaking team at Jim Barry were delighted with theresulting wines. Riper fruit flavours at lower sugar levels (hence lower alcohols), coupled with high naturalacidity are so far the common characteristics of the 2009 Rieslings from the district.
