Sans Totally opaque inky black colour with deep dark crimson black hue. On the nose ripe blackberry and liquorice aromas are to the fore followed by some toasty oak, earth and spice. Medium weight the palate is a little hollow with a lean mid palate of liquorice and blackberry followed by some toasty earth characters and spice. Dry finish with slightly chalky tannins. Moderate aftertaste of liquorice, earth, toast and spice.
