Sans Aged for 12 months in botte (big oak casks) and concrete tanks this wine is a blend of Sangiovese, Canaiolo and Colorino. Deep dark red black colour with a dark red hue. Scented aromas of blackcurrant and dark ripe cherries are overlaid by dried herbs with ensuing scents of cedar, leather and spice. Light to medium weight with solid fruit richness the palate features blackcurrant and dark cherry flavours intermixed with earthy cedar, leather and spice. Finishes quite dry with the fine grained tannins having a slight chalky feel. Aftertaste of blackcurrant, spicy cedar and earth.Drink over the next 1-2 years.Alc 13.5%
