Sans This great value Shiraz was matured in a combination of small French and American oak casks. Opaque black purple colour with deep dark purple hue. Ripe blackberry, liquorice and dark plum scents are to the fore with some underlying toasty oak and spice end notes. Full bodied the palate possesses excellent concentration for its price point. No doubt this was a result of the declassification process whereby all 2011 Kilikanoon top end fruit that would normally go into its reserve wines such as Oracle, R Reserve, Greens Reserve, Attunga etc was declassified into the Killermans Run Shiraz. Mouthfilling flavours of dark plum and liquorice are followed by some blackberry, toasty vanillin oak and spicy pepper. Velvet smooth tannins. Long dark plum, liquorice, blackberry and spicy pepper aftertaste. Cellar 3-4 years (2016-2017).Alc 14.5%
