Sans Matured in a mix of new and 1 year old French and American oak barrels for 18 months. Impenetrable midnight black core with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Pronounced blackberry, liquorice and dark plum aromas drift out of the glass over background notes of lightly toasted vanillin oak and hints of spicy mint. Concentrated blackberry, dark plum and liquorice flavours effortlessly glide across the palate showing excellent richness within a velvety elegant mouthfeel. Spicy vanillin oak and traces of mocha follow on. Very polished, silky smooth tannins are seamlessly integrated with the fruit. Long sumptuous dark plum, blackberry, liquorice, subtlety toasted vanillin oak and spice aftertaste.Cellar 5-6 years.Alc 14.5%
