Sans Matured in French oak barriques for 18 months. Opaque dark red black colour with a dark red black tinged hue. Ripe blackcurrant top notes dominate the nose with mulberry, subtle cedary tobacco characters, hints of black olive and spicy earth also chiming in. Medium bodied the palate possess excellent richness together with the varieties hallmark elegance. Ripe red and blackcurrant fruits are to the fore followed by infusions of vanillin cedar and tobacco, light earth and spice. Soft fleshy mouthfeel with very finely grained, perfectly integrated tannins. Good length concluding with red and blackcurrant, subtle mulberry, cedary tobacco characters and spicy earth.Drinks very well now and should continue to do so for the next 3-4 years.Alc 13.2%
