Sans Impenetrable inky midnight black colour with a very deep dark purple black hue. Intense aromas of liquorice and ripe blackberries dominate the nose with dark chocolate, vanillin cedar and spice following on. Full bodied, rich and opulently textured the palate is layered with flavours of liquorice, dark chocolate and blackberries with underlying toasty vanillin cedar and spicy pepper. Solid, yet velvet like tannins. Excellent concentration and power with a long aftertaste of liquorice, blackberries, dark chocolate, toasty vanillin oak and spicy pepper. Has a good dose of oak but the fruit to carry it.Drink over the next 4-5 years.Alc 14.5%
