Sans Aged for 24 months in a mix of 60% American and 40% French oak barriques of which 30% were new. Totally opaque black dark red core with a deep dark red hue. Powerful scents of liquorice, dark plums and subtle dark chocolate stream from the glass followed by smoky vanillin oak, fennel and spice. Rich opulent mouthfeel with lavish yet refined flavours of plum, liquorice and fennel cascading across the palate like liquid silk with an undercurrent of smoky vanillin cedar and spice. Velvet smooth tannins. Long conclusion of plum, liquorice, fennel, smoky vanillin cedar and spice.Cellar 5-6 years.Alc. 14.5%
