Sans Matured for 40 months in new French oak hogsheads. Impenetrable inky black heart with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Potent ripe blackcurrant and liquorice aromas waft from the glass followed by toasty vanillin oak, hints of choc mint and spice. The rich, large scaled palate is swamped with opulent ripe blackcurrant, choc mint and liquorice flavours which sit atop toasty vanillin oak, earth and spice. Sturdy yet velvet like tannins provide ample structure for the lavish fruit to work around. Outstanding concentration with a long ripe blackcurrant, liquorice, subtle choc mint, toasty vanillin oak, light earth and spice aftertaste.Cellar 4-5 years.Alc. 14.5%
