Sans A blend of 70% Merlot, 15% Sangiovese and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon with maturation taking place partly in barriques previously used for Ornellaia and partly in cement tanks for a period of 10 months. Opaque dark red black colour with a bright dark red hue. A scented bouquet of blackcurrant, dark cherries and faint violet infusions are intermixed with earthy cedar and spicy dried herb notes. Medium weight with an elegant mouthfeel and excellent richness the palate is layered with blackcurrant and dark cherry flavours over a back drop of spicy cedar, earth, subtle black olive and dried herbs. Very fine grained, yet robust tannin structure. Excellent length with a long savoury aftertaste of blackcurrant, dark cherries, dried herb infusions, black olive and spicy earthy cedar.Cellar 5-6 years.Alc 13.5%
