Sans Sourced from three different vineyards this excellent Malbec is matured for 12 months in a mixture of new, second and third use barrels. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Elevated ripe blackcurrant, blueberry, dark plum and liquorice aromas overlay subtle vanillin cedar, dried herb and spice notes. Medium weight with good flesh and richness yet still elegant the palate is generously flavoured with ripe red to blackcurrant, blueberry and plum flavours which are delicately infused with dried herbs. Some liquorice and subtle cedary tobacco elements are also present. Very fine grained, quite polished tannins are well integrated. Concludes with an aftertaste of red to blackcurrant, ripe blueberry, subtle liquorice, dried herbs, cedary tobacco characters and spice.Cellar 4-5 years.Alc. 13%
