Sans A blend of 55% Merlot and 45% Cabernet Franc aged for 13 months in small French oak barrels. Totally opaque black dark red core with a dark red black tinged hue. Aromas of blackcurrant and a hint of liquorice intermix with scorched earth, touches of cigar box and spice. Rich blackcurrant fruit is slightly compacted by firmish tannins which impart some grip to the back palate. Underneath are elements of scorched earth, subtle black olive, cigar box and spice. Dryish finish with an aftertaste of blackcurrant, scorched earth, cigar box and spice.Cellar 5-6 years.Alc. 13.5%
