Sans Beaujolais is home to the Gamay grape, and can be made in styles ranging from light and fruity Beaujolais Nouveau, through to more weighty, intense and structured Beaujolais Cru wines. In the middle of that sits Beaujolais Villages, where the wines are light to medium weight and full of juicy fruit. Georges Duboeuf are the most recognisable producer in the region, making wines at all levels and using all of the Cru sites.
