Sans Cepparello is Isole e Olena’s flagship offering produced entirely from Sangiovese and aged in French oak. Totally opaque dark red black colour with a dark red hue. Fragrant scents of ripe dark to black cherries infused with dried herbs and hints of tobacco are trailed by vanillin cedar, a touch of earth and spice. Rich with a juicy yet chewy feel the medium to full bodied palate is decorated with ripe dark cherry and spicy red currant fruit which is underscored by elements of vanillin cedar, earthy tobacco characters and dried herbs. Sturdy, slightly dryish tannins combine with fresh acidity to provide plenty of structure. Excellent depth with a long, slightly chewy but savoury aftertaste.Cellar 8-10 years.Alc. 14.5%
