Sans Opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Lifted ripe blackberry and liquorice scents merge with vanillin oak followed by some spice end notes. Medium to full bodied, juicy and fleshy, initial sweet blackberry and liquorice flavours are overrun by a good dollop of toasty vanillin oak finishing with some spice. Velvet smooth tannins. Aftertaste of liquorice, toasty vanillin oak, some blackberry and spice. A little too one dimensional with the vanillin oak overwhelming the fruit.Drink over the next 1-2 years.Alc 15%
