Sans Deep dark red colour with a dark crimson hue. Perfumed aromas of ripe dark cherries laced with anise and a hint of violet are followed by some dark strawberry, lightly toasted cedar, meaty clove like characters and spice. Light to medium weight the palate is amply fruited with ripe dark cherry, plum and strawberry flavours which meld into toasty anise like characters and spicy dried clove. Fleshy mouthfeel with velvet like tannins. Good power wave with a medium to long aftertaste of ripe dark cherries, dark plums, toasty anise, dried cloves and spice.Cellar 5-6 years.Alc. 13.5%
